My name is Tommy and I would like to
take a few minutes of your time to tell you about myself and the wonderful
family I've built over the last 48 years.
G & R Property Management started out in 1960 with an idea for entering a
fairly new market: affordable housing for students at Southern Illinois
University. Beginning with the family homestead on East Park Street, Tommy
Glisson and his mother, Velma Halstead, built the Glisson Mobile Home Park.
A lot of blood, sweat, tears, and hard work later, the Glisson and Roxanne
Mobile Home Parks were flourishing.
But times and tastes change, and this small business has had to change as
well. G & R Property Management now offers residential and commercial
rentals in the form of BRAND NEW apartments, mobile homes, a few rental
houses and commerical space in the Grand Avenue Mall.
Begun as a family business, the tradition continues. Mr. Glisson's partner
is his son-in-law, Greg Borowitz, and they invite you to join them as part of
the G & R Property Management Family.
